I have used modemtool to set cua0 to use,
I've tried adjusting the volume settings in modem commands from Kppp
I've setserial to configure the ports
all that happens though is the modem will be ready, then try and set the
speaker volume, forever. It won't get past that part...

One way to do this:
Run KDEAppFinder so that KDE finds the Adobe Reader. Then add the Adobe Reader to
the Panel. Click with the right mouse button on the panel button for Adobe, then
click "Properties". Go to the execute tab, where you can now add the pdf-type
from the right column to the left

If it is a PCI modem, it won't work.

Hello folks,
I just installed Mandrake 5.3 on my machine and I'm having some problems.
I can't get my floppy drive or my CD-ROM drive to mount.
I get invalid block device messages when I attempt to do so.
That and I cannot get my sound card to work.
I have tried using sndconfig and it mentions
