I tried opening Kmix to checked if something was
accidentally muted, and it crashed while opening.
I'm having problems with my sound card:
Sound Blaster Live platinum 5.1
I could play regular music cd's and hear them, but
when it comes to mp3's or movies I can't hear
anything.
I would appreciate if someone could walk me thru the
process of getting this card to give me some sounds!

Hello I have just installed Mandrake 10.1 and
everything seems to work perfect but the Sound Card.
The sound card I have is:
Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1
I can get regular CD's to play and I could hear the
music just fine.
When I play movies or mp3's I cannot hear anything.
