Hi All,
I use HP Pavilion 522c with Mandrake 10.1 Official, but I could not
install Mandrake till I used 10/100BT ethernet card integrated on
Motherboard. I added other eth card and then I could install Mandrake.
Anybody knows how to enforce to work integrated eth card (nForce MCP
Networking Ada
ke packages
gnome-pilot-conduits and evolution-pilot).
If you're still in trouble, stop gpilot (and make sure it is stopped)
and try invoking pilot-xfer from a shell:
pilot-xfer -p /dev/usb/tts/1 -l
(it will list the files on your PDA)
Good luck,

Want to buy your Pack or
tc/fstab, so I guess hotplug was responsible for that. I'll restart it
tonight (I'm not in front of the PC right now) and let you know if it
changed anything.
Thanks for your answers!

But I don't use KDE that often (XFCE4 is my desktop), and there is no

drives as soon as they are created by hotplug? Then it shouldn't be
configured at the desktop level...
Again, thanks f
Hi all,
I'm using Mdk 10.0 and I have a USB2 drive which is detected ok by
hotplug (/etc/fstab gets updated when I plug the drive), but I still
have to "mount /mnt/removable" to have it mounted.
Is there a way to have it automatically mounted?
Thanks,

Hi,
I've downloaded the Mandrake 10 yesterday. Installed it with a 2.6 kernel:
#uname -r
2.6.3-4mdk
the default driver (module b44) doesn't work. I searched a bit and found
that most of the people got away by installing the bcm4400 module provided
by Broadcom.
Downloaded linux-3.0.7.zip from
the 3 iso's, but I was referring to all the
other apps, contribs for example. Any (stable - frozen?) repository for
them?
Thanks,

Hi all,
As I installed mdk 9.2 on a brand new desktop, I totally forgot to make
a swap partition. The installer didn't complain and everything looks
fine now, but I'm still wondering if it might be an annoyance for later?
(The machine has 512 Mo of RAM)
Thanks,

I can't seem to be able to run a script when my machine boots up... I
copied it in /etc/init.d/ though, and I can run it from the shell
(/etc/init.d/myscript start), but it's not launched at boot time. Am I
missing something here?
Thanks,

Hi all,
I asked my question on the KDE ml, but it seems more like a mdk-related problem...
I use mdk 9.2 with KDE 3.1, and somehow I lost the config tool. If I right-click on
the desktop and select "configure", nothing happens. When I launch Konqueror and go to
tools-> configure, nothing happens.
. I guess it is an operator 'problem' (I
have tele2) becausethe leds on my modem show no DSL activity at all...

Does anyone confirm that? A friend of mine told me yesterday that Mandrake

Hello,
I have successfully set my M Linux as a DHCP server,
however my dhcpd.conf file is still very basic (just one subnet and that's
all).
I seem to have trouble to find a detailed guide on the net, could someone
please give me a good link/document/whatever?
Thanks,
