looks like it is a decompression problem (.tar) using kde I thought just
clicking on the package automatically decompress it

During the preparation stage of installing oracle 8.05 for linux I am
encountering probleme creating user and adding it to the group
I have followed the how to install oracle :
created a group dba
created a user oracle
pwd orac

I have just installed mandrake 6.0 and I am trying to install oracle 8.5 and
apparently I have to make a few changes on the kernel parameter
:(shmmax,shhmni,shmseg) does anyone can tell me how to go about it ?
