I don't know if this relates to your problem but I had a hell of a time on the intial
install. As it turned out, I was trying to install onto a drive that was slaved.
When I swapped the drive onto the master positin of the secondary port, everything
went smooth. Take a look and see if your H
I installed Linux-Mandrake 6.0 this weekend. Taking the manual's word at face value,
I did not change the package list. Installing packages after the OS came up is easy,
except for one application I cannot seem to find. cc. It is nowhere on the system,
and I cannot find any reference to cc
