I've been messing around with my LM 7.1. I'm attempting to update a number
of packages so I can compile the latest kernel. I upgraded e2fs to version
1.19. This installs files in /usr/man/man1 man8. It installs files such as
xxx.1 and xxx.8. After installing these files, I went in and deleted
wondering if
this new install from the bootup floppy is conflicting with the way I have
the HD set up. Anyone have any ideas?

the file. The timer seems to progress at something like quarter speed. And
no sound is outputed. The MP3 plays in Winamp and Windows Media Player
without a problem. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Can someone prod me in the right direction for solving this issue?

Question for you. I'm trying to do this with 7.1 on my notebook, and the
system locks at the partition setup. What kind of problems were you having,
and what did you end up doing? How was your drive partitioned prior to
attempting the ManLin install?
