the first linux partition (e.g., hda, instead of hdax (probably 5). When the lilo prompt comes p, try hitting the tab button. You should then see the to options: linux dos (or win). Type dos (or win if that's it) ad you should boot into windows. it might be that I put Linux in the mbrr,

Did you use a "server" install or a "custom" isntall when you where installing Linux? This is really importnat to know. The server install and custom install will wipe all existing partitions. The Workstation install will leave any existing DOS partitions. ARG I DID "server" and

first off, your lilo.conf does show your windows partitions yes, I know do not boot from a floppy, but when you receive the LILO boot prompt type in "windows" without the quotes of course, hitting the tab key should give you something like this; linuxwindows windows2 I

you need to boot with the bootdisk you made during install, you did make one didn't you? just let it boot from that and it should boot correctly, do not use the resue boot img do not use the bootdisk that came with the distro. yep, I made one! :-) I can boot with that floppy and get to
