Hi.
I have just installed Mandrake 10 on my laptop, and it looks amazing.
Thing is, two things don't work, the Synaptics touch pad tapping and the
pcmcia wi-fi card which is a Belkin model based on the Atmel drivers.
Being a linux newbie im hoping to get some help getting them up and
working.

Im running squid on my mandrake 10 box, and I'm looking for a reporting

some graphs to show how many sites accessed each hour etc.
Can anyone recommend anything? I have tried webalizer but thought it was
terrible.

Hi,
I have an odd error that has started happening over the weekend. When I
issue certain commands, URPMI being one of them, I get the following
output.

Has anyone done an upgrade from 9.2 to 10 ? I have a box here that I use
as a desktop machine (so OpenOffice, Firefox etc) as well as a test
server to tinker with (irc, ssh, samba etc). I want to upgrade it to 10
from 9.2, but im worried it will bugger it totally, and that some of the

Hi,
When I installed Mandrake 9.2 last week I set my icons to 48x48. Now
that I am all setup and finished playing, I want to put them to 32x32. I
remember using a util with a drop down list of icon sizes. However, now
I cant find it or remember what it was.
Any ideas what util this could have
Earlier on I thought I would replace my dying 10GB disk on my linux test
machine here and replace it with a 40GB one. They are the same make
(fujitsu) and both IDE. Nothing else has changed.
I used Ghost to copy the info from the small disk to the large one. It
all went ok, and the only thing
it wont boot

After swapping my 10gb for a 40gb disk and finally getting it working, I
noted that the machine seemed really slow. When I looked in the system
monitor in Gnome, it showed that 0MB of my swap file was being used and
the RAM was sky high.
It wasn't like that this morning.
Any idea of where the

Has anyone got a working VNC installation running on Mandrake ??
I have tried, and just get a grey desktop window appearing on the client. I
have spoken to VNC and they say that i need to enter the windows manager and
its path into the xStartup window.
Do you know where KDE is stored ?
I installed Mandrake using the recommended option, and basically went with
the defaults. It all worked ok, but i couldnt telnet into the unix box from
anywhere on the network.
A client of mine told me to try re-installing it as a SERVER option, and
that this would help. Now that i have done this,
