I've just installed Mandrake 8...it's good. I have one problem, though,
in that system notifications don't always work in KDE 2.1.1. The start
up clip never plays, while others may or may not work once the session
has started. If they start, they will then work for the remainder of
the ses
I've just installed LM 7.2 with KDE 2.1 from Mandrake Freq. All is OK
but I cannot get system sounds to work in KDE. They do with Gnome, and
I can play CDs etc with no trouble. I had to download and install
"arts-2.1-2 mdk.rpm" as it wasn't on the CD but this hasn't fixed the
