Use Lilo,
1. Install Mandrake 9.1 and then when you have to configure the disk
partition , make sure there are enough free space for your second
Mandrake 9.1 instalation.
2. Choose lilo as the bootloader, and place it on the MBR (master boot
record) on your harddisk. it's easier to use.
3.
The problem maybe in your DVD drive , the error message complain about
DVD encription
libdvdread: Could not open device with libdvdcss.
What is the DVD region code you want to play, for Mplayer I think should
play all kind of region with no problem. Check your DVD drive, because
if you use
and its dependencies from
Mandrake Cooker (mozilla, mozilla-nspr, mozilla-nss and mozilla-psm)
You need to download mozilla-psm package too if you have account on
Yahoo Mail or Hotmail.

Try this
login as root
then enter the command : modprobe ntfs
then look for your ntfs partition reside on /dev/hda?. To check just run
fdisk /dev/hda then press p to show all your partition in your harddrive.
Then quit without changing anything (press q).
After that you can mount that , for
/drakfont/
if i browsed files or anything the screen would freeze and i would get the
error message in a console on ctrl-alt-f1
