Hi all,
Yet another problem, at what seems let random times
the cursor disappears. This has only happened since updating the kernel to
2.2.9-27mdk from 2.2.9-19mdk.
All idea welcome

I got a mixed bag of answers but heres what
happened
I was using a lower case m instead of a upper case
M for the ram size
Thus
at lilo prompt:
linux mem=128m should be - linux
mem=128M
or
in /etc/lilo.conf
append = mem=128m should be - append
mem=128M
sorry to try everyone up on
have also tried linux mem=128 at the lilo prompt.This only causes the
bootup sequence to hang. Any ideas?
TIA
Stephan Rex
P.S. I have also "clean" re-installed linux
multiple times in an attempt to fix this problem.

I also have similiar problems with my via-rhine dlink dfe-530 tx NIC. I have
tried
1. using the built in driver but the card can not be found by the probe
during installation
2.downloading the driver source code compiling.
after which I then configure the card and eth0 setting
