[newbie] Lilo with System Commander

Hi, When I installed Mandrake linux 6.1 I could not get it to install lilo. It gave me an error message that said that it could not write to the mater boot record. saying something like it was busy. I have system commander installed and there is a linux option in the menu but it says that
