this isn't really a linux question (directly at least) but is there any way to format an email address with the resolved ip address? like [EMAIL PROTECTED] without the dns server saying it can't be resolved...i'm wondering if there are any special escape characters so the dns server will just

when i reboot after incorrect shutdown...it says some disks were not unmounted correcty and to RUN fdck MANUALLY and asks me for root passwd... after i give it the passwd and type fdck it says one line about parallelizing... so i exit and it says... you're nobody...go away... and then after
