I think it means that the system was not properly unmounted, as when you do a
hard
I noticed during the boot process that two particular lines come up each and
every time:
"Checking Root Filesystem /dev/hda# .clean."
But once in a while I notice that when the line comes up it says:
"Checking Root Filesystem /dev hda#, Has Reached Maximal Mount Count, Check
Forced"
