Billwow, thanks! I was totally unaware of any support for
it because mine's a usb and there's been no Linux USB support
(unless you want to mess around with a development kernal)
till very recently and nothing yet for anything other than
mice and keyboards. So I never really looked.

I have a Color Quickcam too and I've never gotten any inkling
(I've been running various Linux distributions since January,
1999) that it has any support under Linux.

so I can't help there. However I have a Brooktree BT848 (Linux supported)
