Just wanna tell you that I had the same problem. I installed XP after MDK 9.1, and lilo did'n start, there was some error. Even after booting from cd. boot starter(lilo or grub) did'n start. So, to fix this problem I downloaded boot manager(bootit) and install it. But even then I couldn't start
