My computer is a compaq deskpro with a built in PCI NIC (PCNET PCI AMD) with
a pentium 120Mhz
I use my NIC to connect to my ADSL ISP.
It worked ok with W98.
I totally erased the HD to install a Mandrake 7.2.
The hardware detection seemed to be ok, my NIC is recognised as an "AMD
LANCE and
I have decided that most likely LANstar is a hoe-dunk poe-dunk company and
doesn't support linux. So I put in my other NIC, a 3com 3c900 "Boomarang".
Now I found the source drivers for it and compiled and installed the
module. But I don't know where to go from here, I dont' know how to see if

A lot of these NIC are NEC2000
