[newbie] Firestarter questions...

I've been trying to configure Firestarter, which seems like a great little piece of software but I have a few questions: I picked the option thats supposed to start Firestarter when you dialup. (but it doesn't). So...in /etc/ppp/ip-up.local, I put the line "firestarter &". Still doesn't start.
