[newbie] GZIP/GUNZIP

I just loaded Mandrake 10 and want to add new programs like the latest version of Open Office, AOL Instant Messenger and a couple of others so I downloaded those files. They are tar'd and gzipped. However, I do not seem to have a program in KDE to unzip them. When I right click on them it
