i don't follow the logic: I don't boot to linux from the mbr. I
boot from floppy.

I boot to Linux off of a floppy. if no floppy, boots to win98.
upgraded to 2.2.0
ran zlilo on to a nice fresh floppy and also made a zImage on the
hard disc.
when I boot to the floppy the screen reads:
loading
0400
AX:0209
BX:
