Doh... I've just realised that twice today I have given you bad information. Deleting kdeglobals fixes the problem when your fonts go all weird in KDE, not the konqueror thing. My apologies... To fix the konqueror not starting up issue you have to delete

Hi all, I tried the suggestion: /usr/java/j2re1.4.0/bin/java that came earlier. It made an improvement and I was able to view a web page that I couldn't view previously, but konqueror was very painfully slow. Everytime I went back to the same webpage Java went through a slow initialization
