Some weeks ago, there was a long thread on problems with upgrading KDE
using the Thac packages. Since then, I have not seen anything about it.
Have the problems been sorted, and can we now upgrade KDE?

To upgrade kde from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 is "kdebase-1.1.2-9mdk.i586.rpm"
sufficient, or are any other packages needed?

I just upgraded my Mandrake 6.0 KDE packages to version 1.1.2 using the RPMs
from Mandrake 6.1. Everything seems to work but I ended up with duplicate
icons and menu entries.
1. Could this have been prevented by using a different upgrade proceedure?
2. Is there an easy way to correct this other
Can one use Mandrake's KDE install RPMs to upgrade a RedHat 6.0 install, or
would one have to do an "upgrade install" of Mandrake to upgrade RedHat's
KDE (just figured since there are supposedly "final" versions of KDE 1.1.1,
I would consider upgrading.)
