[newbie] Mandrake 8.1 and cdrom

I installed Mandrake 8.1 on my Dell Dimension (PIII) and everything went very welluntil I tried to access my cdrom drive. This machine has a CD RW drive supplied by Dell, and a DVD rom installed later by myself. In checking with HardDrak, I find three cdroms listed: ATAPI 12X DVDROM

Bob, I'm a newbie so I'll leave the experts to tell you how to 'fix' your problem. I do know, however, that creating two CD drives, one a SCSI drive, is standard LM treatment. As I understand it, LM needs to define a second drive (SCSI) to provide for write access. I've had problems with
