My US Robotics 33.6 modem dials my ISP, they "talk", the Kppp reads connected, but nothing works. I've installed Venus 6.0 as the only os on a stand alone pentium, trying both the Linuxconfig and the Kppp to connect. I'm hoping someone will recognize this as a problem they've previously solved.

My US Robotics 33.6 modem dials my ISP, they "talk", the Kppp reads connected, but nothing works. I have Caldera 2.2 installed. I see the same problem. Kppp acts a bit nuts. I think its a combo of several things. About three tries and I get connected. At 33.6 it should be no problem.
