Linux claims it is not supporting WinModems nor ever will. Well I have some software that is called ZModem in a zip file format that is called a LinModem (WinModem type) that is supposed to be for that WinModem. Have not installed it just yet, still attempting to learn more about Linux/Mandrake

In case your modem ISN"T a winmodemas far as I know...COM ports don't go any higher then 4 in Linux. Is it a Plug and Play? (I had trouble with my US Robitics 56K Pnp modem till I got PNP off) Can you manually hardware your modem to use either COM 1, 2, 3, or 4? Jero Sharon Pfeiffer wrote:
