It's not better, just different. But here are some reasons why I prefer
using it when I'm not root:
1) It is one of, if not the most configurable window managers around.
2) E has some great features, like the pager,
I can't decide, I like both KDE and GNOME,
I use them interchangeably, so if I had
to choose between them I would be stuck
