A couple of years ago I was given a dual boot Win98/Red Hat 5.2 PC for some
computer related work I had done for a friend. At the time my ISP was dialin
and I had all working very well. Since (about 2 weeks ago) I have gone to
cable modem and just haven't taken the time to try to figure out how
hi, thought i'd toss out an answer to this -- with a warning -- i have never done
this. =) remember what free advice is worth.
anyhowz, i recall some time ago on this very list someone wrote that they did exactly
that. they had Red Hat (i don't recall the version however) on their box.
Blaine,
...In the meantime another co-worker who I have helped out on
Unix systems where I work has given me Mandrake 7.2 CD's along
with StarOffice CD's. I would like to try out all this but I
