I have two Linux boxes on my network here at home. Both are P2-400's
and the only real difference is RAM. One machine has 256 MG the other
128. But they both run pretty damn fast!
Now there are somethings that I've noticed, heard, and/or experimented
with, and that's separate hard drives for c
LM 7.2 runs just fine on my ThinkPad laptop, 366 Celeron with 64 MB of
memory. If you are having sluggish performance, you might look into
disabling some services which you rarely or never use, possibly remove
some fonts or have them load dynamically rather than automatically at
boot, etc.
