Apologies for the silly question in advance, but I have found this a bit of
a riddle. I have managed to install Mandrake 7.2 deluxe on my machine, but
when it reboots, it does so straight into Windows 98se and not Linux. Could
anyone tell me what I have done wrong, and what I need to do to sort

Sounds like Lilo or Grub were not installed.
Did you make a boot-diskette during the installation? If so, use that to
boot from, into Linux. Then log in as root, cd to /boot/grub and run
./install.sh
That should set up Grub on your system.
