Depends what program it is. You could download the source of the file you want to install and compile it from source, or maybe www.rpmfind.net has a mandrake rpm for you? It would have been handy to know what file you are talking about there though ;-) If you tell us we might be able to give

Why does anything needing libpng.so.2 on my system fail to install? Ximian's red carpet, on attempting to install opera, claimed that no source could be foind for libpng.so.2 and when attempting to install lincvs rpm's they failed on libpng.so.2 yet I can't seem to find any libpng for my system.
