11/08/03 To get my Winmodem to connect to the ISP, I have to open up a SuperUser terminal window, configure the modem, and start WVdial. I then minimize the terminal window and run my Internet applications as a regular user. I have to do this sequence every time after I've shut down the Linux

I have been able to get Linux to recognize my LT Winmodem and dial my ISP. However, as soon as the connection is made it is immediately disconnected with the daemon dying unexpectedly. KPPP then locks up Linux and I have to reboot. Any ideas? Thanks.
