hi, I haven't fixed my KDE 3.0.2 Sudden Logouts that is why Im switching temporarily to GNOME, the problem is, I find KDE more user friendly than GNOME for example in creating shorcuts to applications, I cant seem to figure out yet how to make one in GNOME without dragging from Nautilus, unlike

hi, false alarm, just when I thought my SUDDEN LOGOUT problems was fixed by deleting the files in tmp/ i was wrong. after the sudden logout of my KDE 3.0.2, F7 now displays and does not respond to anything not even STARTX. now what?...Help. -- g2 Intelligence, acquired; Wisdom, inherent.

Shoot, that dern wizard is going to run every single time without changing anything! :D And the ~/.kpersonalizerc didn't stop mine. So, I cut it off at the roots. I used to comment out that whole section in startkde, but now I highlight it and delete it. :D I hope the OP don't

well I think it happens after 5 minutes of logging in. It only happens when KDE is idle and when I am logged in the Virtual Terminal (ctrl alt f1). In KDE 2.2.2, after log outs, the xwin restarts but with KDE 3.0.2, after that log out, the Xwin crashes, when I execute startx, it prompts for

snip well that really is an open question, but just for fun, what desktop (and version) are you useing? i noticed the same thing in the first release of kde 3.0.2 but they updated it on the 10th, and using that i see no problems. yet. :) I just found out this sudden logouts only

hi, can you give an idea on what to deal with because Im having this strange logouts whenever my xwindow is idle specially when Im in the virtual terminal console. whats got to do with this? my resolution config? my power saving? my screensaver? I did tried changing these but it didnt fixed
