Is it feasable to go into windows and save them as a plain text or ASCII text file? If that's not a problem almopt any Linux prog wil read it. If not Star office and Word Perfect read most word files. I'm not sure about Wordpad though. ShalomOut Chal Elder PCUSA Registered Linux user # 217118

[newbie] windows documents

I have a problem in taking windows documents (mostly wordpad created) from my mount/windows directory into my linux drive. Both kword and konqeror give me about half of the first page and no more. Both usually hang afterwards. Anyone know which program would read these documents properly?
