On UK keyboards it is the second ALT key (the one to the right of the space bar). Sorry, didn't explain it very well - I'll try again: The 'ALT' key to the left of the space bar is just called 'ALT'. The 'ALT' key to the right of the space bar is called 'ALT-GR'. This on a UK keyboard. My

When I ran RH Linux 5.2, the only one I ever got mail to work on, I could use the alt + xxx to get special characters, just like I could do in WordStar so many moons ago. I.e., alt +241 (on the number pad) gives the plus/minus sign. I can't do it in Eudora, unfortunately. I wish I could. I
