Bill, I went to the TUCOWS website and downloaded the 'Winrar' 2.7Beta2 and used that one. I could not get any response from the other location that had the 2.7Beta3. I used WinZip to unzip them to the "...rar and ...r0?" files. The Beta2 works great, actually when I started on running the Win

You can download WinRAR on tucows for example. But you can also download a (console) rar version for linux on www.rarsoft.de Unzip is already distributed with the mandrake CD, so there's no need to reboot for this book. ps, merle: nice job. 1500 pages? Guess that means quite a few sleepless nig

Merle, I have the files downloaded and even uzipped, each are linuxref-book1.rar, r00, r01, r02, r03, and r04 but when I click on the first file (...rar) my WinZip opens and I get the message there is nothing for it to do. Where is the "winrar" file referenced on that webpage
