2. read the release notes
3. install the drivers
4. restart the X server
5. install powerdesk
6. run mgapdesk
7. choose the dual-head multi-display option
8. adjust
Yes, you can damage your monitor if you use incorrect horizontal or vertical
refresh rates for your monitor.
Look in your monitor's manual for the correct values and compare them to
what you used in your XF86Config file to find out if that killed your
monitor.
