I have read somewhere on this list that you should use X.4.2 for radeons that would
mean that RH
7.3 would be the distro to use (do you have a line fast enough to download it?)
downloading and installing 4.2 would be also a possibility but if you are a newbie
with little
time to spare...

I am about to shelve linux again for the fourth time. I thought windoze was a pain but

three days of trying to get RH to work my resolve is just about worn out.
