[newbie] Installing LM 8.2 on a laptop

Hello, I am trying to install/update (from LM 8.0) LM 8.2 on my laptop; but it gets as far as configuring for PCMCIA and seems to stall and go no further! I don't have any PCMCIA cards installed! I can't find anyway round this and want 8.2 on my laptop to keep it identical to my desktop PC.

Dear all, Ever since I have had Mandrake 8.0 on my machine my clock has been wrong. I have changed its settings many a times, but it is still losing/gaining (don't know!) time... Any clues/ideas? Thanks, Andy

Dear all, Thanks one and all who helped me solve my dual boot (NT/Linux) problems. NT sucks and had to use the start sectors of my HD - the WinDOS partition I had created (during Linux install) was at the end... therefore, I had to blow the whole lot and start again!!! What a nightmare I had

Dear all, I need to install Windoze NT4 on my Linux (Mandrake 8.0) box :( I already have a partition of 4Gb set aside for Windoze. What's the best way to go about this - shall I boot into my Windoze partition and install it there? Or, can I go into Linux and install Windoze on the partition
