Tech support is evil! It took 5 days for them to respond to my repeated
emails and requests for help. Then they were abrupt and didn't give me a
working solution. I mailed them back asking for another solution. That was
6 months ago. I'm sure I'll get my solution any day now :-p

I remember using 7.0 on an old NEC laptop with an attached monitor. It wasn't
my comp though, so I don't know if any special configuration needs to be done.
To try and fix your problem, I'd suggest booting in runtime level 3 when you
do your install, so that X doesn't automaticallly start, and
Firewire is a
terriffic standard.

Does 7.1 support firewire devices? Are there any plans to do so in the
future if not now? I am trying to get linux to see my external firewire hard
drive on my PC.

KMail is great! It's GUI is intuitive, and its overall feel is fantastic.
I've always felt that Netscape's mail was sluggish. I much prefer Kmail.
Recently, I beilieve it was linux journal that gave kmail a very high
reveiew as a linux mail client. I have tryed it out and i feel that it
I just installed Mandrake 7.0. When I try to
run Lothar to recognize my nic and sound card it freezes my mouse. I'm
still able to tab around the window, but that's about it. Is there
a work around to set up my sound card (preferably easy)? Or is there a fix
to keep mymouse working?
