I setup my firewall through webmin, but have accidentally put the
following rule at the bottom and now cannot get back into webmin. I
have messed around a little with the syntax but can't change it back.
What is the command for changing this to ACCEPT instead of DROP?

I can't get port 53 open. I suppose this is just part of my problem. I
upgraded from 8.2 to 10.0. I can't get out on the web for starters and
I ran NMAP tonight and 53 isn't open. Shorewall isn't installed. I
have ipchains and iptables, no bind, no named.

io condivido la connessione con altri due pc, sfruttando iptables. Per poter
usare samba con le macchine windows della rete però devo aggiungere a mano
una regola ACCEPT nella catena INPUT. Al riavvio seguente tutto torna però
come prima. E' possibile aggiungerla in

I setup sharing my internet connection under Mandrake Control Center on
MDK 8. It installed ipchains, iptables, and iproute2? Are all these
programs used for the internet sharing or does it install some of these
for a just in case senerio? What are they all supposed to do?

iproute2 is the way for kernel 2.4.x to handle IP source routing. (See docs

ipchains and iptables are roughly equivalent to one another in that they

Well I found a really super small thing in this how to
that got the connection sharing up but I just wonder
if everything will work. I still dont see the
