I went for a twenty mile ride through town yesterday, my 83 650 ran
great. This afternoon I found some gear oil leaking out of the rear
axle on the brake shoe side. The oil has sort of a reddish tint to it.
I changed the oil in the rear gear case last fall just before I took

I'm looking through my Clymer manual the Front Fork Tube Upper Pinch Bolt
requires 17 ft.lbs. I couldn't find anything on the fork clamp. I hope
this helps.

Well,
It hit the 80's this weekend in Jersey. Started out with a completely dead
battery, which caught me by surprise.
Some TLC and re-charging overnight did the trick.
Checked fluids, seemed pretty good to go and finally managed to get a little
time tonight around 6 to make it out for a ride
