That is what I was thinking too Kurt, 10 amps seems excessive.

10 amps @ 12v nominal is 120watts... that's actually a lot of power for it
to be putting out at an idle. Only things that should be consuming that
power are your headlight and the ignition box, right?
Just seems high. Headlight's probably no more than 35w, if memory serves
correctly (35/55 low/hig

I've never seen any for the '82. Honda certainly isn't making them anymore
so your only chance at getting any will be watching eBay. One of the joys of

Hey Guys:
I was looking at a brochure for the above mentioned bike, Honda listed factory,
color matched saddle bags / trunk combination. Has anyone seen these before
for sale, I would think they would be hard to come by. I would like to get a
set for my bike.
Thanks
Glenn
Ok great! Thanks a lot!
I have not read the amp/hour rating on the battery. All I found was the info
on the site which just says something akin to "battery discharges at 10amps
at under 1500rpms".
That puts my mind at ease. Every day I'm learning something new. I'm excited
to take the bike out -ju

I am not sure about the answer, but I bet you will run out of gas before you
run out of amps. In any case, for a normal bike, this should take of the
order of many hours. If you are actually seating on traffic for that long
you will probably shut the engine off, or kill yourself.

Check out eBay item# 130491944687 - used backrest still 6 days to go
but only $25 now. Doesn't include the spacers in the listing - that's
a big deal.

That depends on the amp-hours that your battery can store. See if your battery
has that info on it.
For the most part, don't worry too much about it. If you're really concerned,
you could switch your headlight to low beams. That's about the biggest draw in
the bike's system next to (and likely s

Hi All,
this might come off as a dumb question so sorry if the answer is an obvious
one. I've searched around online for the answer but I can't seem to find
one.
I have a 650sc and the discharge rate of the battery at idle is about
10amps. The manual says that the charger system will not charge the

yes, I remember that post. Thanks a lot for the info, and please, let us

Javier,
Take a look at the posting from January 27th titles "new". It's from
a member showing the racks with trunk and saddle bags that he
fabricated out of carbon fiber. I've been in contact and Bestem USA
is making these racks for our bikes (www.bestemusa.com). They're

I just looked at the these on eBay. It looks like someone took a
stock Hondaline and used it as a template - they look a lot like
mine. Very smart idea to make the backrest removable.
If you need installation instructions for your rack drop me an email.
