Hello fellow Nighthawk Lovers,
I have had my original college bike 1982 Honda Night Hawk (blue) in
storage for the past 8 years and am moving and need to sell it. (owned
since 1990) Wondering what this original classic bike is worth?
I have not fired it up yet but hope to soon. Ran well when put
Monmouth is pretty prompt. As I recall, I had it in my hands in about
a week.
Installation instructions call for removing the side stand. I found
that to be totally unneccessary. Another trick is to use a small
screwdriver as a lever to hook the spring to the fitting on your
frame. You'll see

I think I'll be doing that next weekend or so. I got a backrest that only 2 of
the 4 brackets match up with the bike.
The forward two meet the upper shock mounts, but the rear two will need
adapters fabbed up to match a frame mounting point underneath the rear faring.
I'll post pics if I'm able
I found our recently that here in Hawaii you can insure your bike
without having a motorcycle endorsement, however, your insurance will
be higher and you cannot get coverage for your bike or your medical.

Great for if you have to weld on your bike in a hurry too ;)

Noah, any chance you have knowledge of light timing?
I'm no expert on this, and I'm sure there's a lot of complexities to
it, but I mean.. are there not standards for this stuff? Does every
town just have their own system that they just pull out of a hat?

Not if you have health insurance and have a classM license and are over 21.
That bill states you must now take the BRC or ARC before getting your M.
Passing the course should still exempt you fromthe riding portion of the DMV
test tho.

Does that mean that you have to wear a helmet? And, how difficult is it to
obtain the endorsement? Here right next door the test does not go by the book
at all. This ex - cop who took the test and who teaches a good M/C
course, failed it three times.
Now, however, one can go online and take

I stand corrected. It looks like TX SB1967 passed 2 years ago requires a
class M license that can now only be obtained by taking the BRC or ARC. It
also does away with the "no helmet" sticker for license plates and raises
failure to yield rightofway fines to other drivers.

There are spacers on either side of the rim. Make sure you remove them from the
old rim and install them in the new rim before mounting it.

Lie,
I looked quite some time for a used one on ebay and never came up. There was
one for $100, and it was rusted. I took somebody else advice and got a new
one. I think I paid ~$130 including shipping. As Allen said, look few months
back in the posts for the link.

NightHawk Lovers,
Last year, about a week after I got a new tire for my '85 CB650SC, I
got a fat screw in the tire the very next week.
I removed that wheel, and replaced it with a spare wheel with an older
tire. Then I took the wheel with the damaged
tire to my dealer, and got a new tire for it
