Hi you all, I have a 1996 Honda CB750. I'm trying to match the color
- pearl yellow. Seems impossible to do so by the color code (Y 124-
P). Any suggestions? Graham

That particular color requires a base coat, a color coat and a two-
part clear to get a decent job.

The fronts have a running light feature, at least on my 750. Not sure why
rear lamps don't.
Probably due to fading. You will either need to repaint everything or take a
piece of the bike with good paint on it to a dupont automotive supply store, or
body shop, and have them color match it.

Nope. I've still got the stock 4 into 4 setup, but the crossovers are
pretty rusted so I'll be switching that for a mac 4 into 1 before
long.

I love the look of the four into four setup. Too bad it won't work on any of
mine. :p

Okay so a stupid question from a newbie. My Front Fork brace is
cracked. Is it safe to ride until I get a new one or should I park it
and wait till the new one gets here? It's on a 85 nighthawk 650

So, my lovely learned a new trick. Started her up this morning, minimal
choke as usual for this time of year, no issues. Release choke... idle stays
around 2k +- 100 rpm.
Huh, that's weird.
I ride to work.
Idle stays at 2k the whole trip, which made for some interesting slow speed
shifts.

The old bikes had those braces because their fork tubes were skinny and would
flex under load. Graham is right, it isn't advisable as you have a higher
chance of loosing control with out the brace.

I would guess you have a stuck float.

Wouldn't that raise the idle all the time?

I actually find the 4 muffler set up is a bit busy. I'm definately
going to go with a black canister setup. Less places to burn my legs
as well. ;^)
I actually jinxed myself by saying it always starts too... I went to
start it yesterday and it wouldn't turn over. I cranked and cranked
and

Dunno but I was thinking that depending on angle its leaning at might be
affecting the float level, thus richening or leaning the mixture. Other than
that I got nothing.

H, I hadn't thought of those. I lubed the cable last time I had it off,
and it's not binding there I know, but I forgot about the enricheners
themselves. I'll give a shot.
Also, it has worsened/changed. Idle's now around 1500 all the time, with a
2500+ idle speed when leaned. Super bizarre...
I'v done it more then once. :-p

Have you tried testing for vacuum leak(s)?

I haven't, but I did wonder what/why a vacuum leak would only affect the
