Pre-'96 actually. My '95 was silver. My '96 is black. The decal lettering on the side covers is in script (handwritten-style penmanship) also, which denotes an earlier model. Not sure what year the switch was, but my '96 has block lettered decals. It's definitely not a 2000 model. On May 10,

OK, before I turn my 1984 650 Nighthawk over to my wife to start riding, I need to replace the tires. Does anyone know anything about Shinko brand tires? A friend of mine told me that since she will only be riding it on city streets (no highway riding) that they would be a good inexpensive tire.
