Oh I plan on replacing the helmet, for sure. Last time I had a spill on my
bike, my insurance company covered damaged equipment, including the helmet,
so if they decide to cover this, they'll likely pay for the helmet, too. I

Me either, but apparently it's possible. I guess someone could have shoved
it forward and over, causing the kickstand to be partially folded back and
then it snapped back into place after it fell...who knows. Right now I'm
just hoping insurance covers the damage.

Yeah no, she was on her left side, on top of the helmet. No boot marks,

I checked the pavement, and there was no soft asphalt to be blamed. The
kickstand was all the way extended when I hoisted her back up, so I'm

So I decided to stop by the store last night after work for a couple of

The adjustment screws we are talking about adjust the opening of the butterfly
plates, not the mixture screws, which all four carbs have. Typically their are

If you turn it up enough you'll hear the last two clips where you can hear
the burble. Trust me - if I'd had the sound on for the entire ride, you
wouldn't like it - all pretty much Wind noise.

If you can't get the carbs to sync you may have a vaccum leak... Most likely
the manifold is no longer properly sealing, either damaged, oring shot, or carb
clamp not tight. You may also have a clogged or damaged pilot jet. This assumes
you followed the correct sync procedure.
