Riding down the east coast may sound like a good idea, but there's nothing
like the Pacific Coast Highway in California. A couple of years ago, I
drove from the outer banks of NC down to Savannah, GA. In general, you're
riding flatlands away from the coast, so you could ride from Minnesota to

pictures were breath taking. One thing that could be a diversion if you
took the blue ridge parkway is Laurey Caverns. West VA is peppered with
caves and the one in Laurey has been made into a tourist attraction, it is
pretty cool
If you want mountains close to the sea come to Cape Breton.
There's nothing flat and boring here!
