And check tightness of battery cables.

the rain for 3 years because he couldn't figure physical What was wrong with it

Paint, well I had a local shop do it for me (he had it from late January -
early May). I wasn't in a rush.
He obviously painted the tank, side covers, front cowl, rear cowl, and the
"bikini" fairing around the headlight. I think for paint/sanding and
everything it was around $500. I asked him t
Yea if you jumped the solenoid posts then I'd say the starter is bad. Your
engine ground strap is secure?

Ya Tommy, they tuck the oil switch way in the "back" corner huh. Looks like
fun.
Allen, It's a rubber gasket. I have the permatex and planned on a thin coat
on the V/Cover to seal and hold the gasket in place in the "channel"
in the cover and another thin coat on the gasket after set in the cove
Felix, that trip looks great, and I'd certainly like to give it a try on my
next trip here. Thanks.
We ended up spending a lot of time in that Disneyland they call Sintra.
What an amazing place! We spent time trying to work out the rest of the
trip on Google maps in the hotel room last night,
Thanks for responding Allen. I used a wire to jump the posts on the starter
solenoid (with the key in "on" position with lights on) and nothing. Bike
does not start, nothing, dead. Bad starter?

Changed the oil yesterday. Started the bike up today and can notice it on I
can now hear it and yes it's coming from the cam chain. I've read about this
some say fix and others say don't.

Bridge the posts on the solenoid, if the bike starts then you know the
starter works.
Looking at the wiring diagram you should get +12v on the yellow/red wire
when you press the starter button. Also you should have connectivity to
ground on the Green/Red wire provided you have the bike in neutral.
I want to say that the 83 had a self adjusting cam and lifters

Hello Everyone,
Hopefully I can obtain some more knowledge from this group to help
determine my issue I am having.
Some info:
-2000 Honda Nighthawk 750 with 20,500 miles
-Battery is brand new (purchased a 2 months ago).
-Starter Solenoid went bad about a month ago. Ordered a new one, replace it
I don't know if the gasket is rubber or not but if it is rubber do yourself
a favor and get some permatex #2 or #3 NON-HARDENING sealant for that valve
cover gasket. Just spread a thin coat on both sides of the gasket and poop
a little more around the cam "buttons". Your chances of getting a leak f
Yep, just look at that. Sheer beauty.

How does Arnold's stolen Harley from T2 make it on this list when Sarah
Conner's Honda Elite from T1 doesn't make the list? Seriously, it's a

Arnold's is just another black and chrome HD. Park it in front of a bar

Sounds like the cam chain we all hear. As for other suggestions, his site is
