Soak it with PB blaster and use Impact if available. I agree with a new
socket as well - old worn sockets = rounded bolt heads. Using Mapp gas
would be the additional step. It burns hotter than Propane. You'll find the
little yellow bottles in the hardware store next to the little blue propane
Ooh, Great idea Richard! I'll try that tonight.

I can try and take one later. I'm at work now. It's not completely
stripped, but the corners are definitely rounded. It's one of the two 12 mm
bolts on the underside that connect the pipes to the frame. So, to get to
it you come up at it from under the bike. Not a ton of room to work. I
Can you post a photo of the bolt?

I bought a replacement exhaust for my '83 NH 650, and while taking the
existing one off, I ran into a stuck bolt. One of the 12mm bolts on the
underside that holds the exhaust to the frame. I tried a breaker bar, my
impact driver, some liquid wrench, and some of those Craftsman Bolt
I will never plan one of these trips!
I will just ask EGrider...

I wouldn't bother filling the tires with nitrogen. They're already filled
with regular air, which contains about 78% nitrogen.

Yes, I think you have a leak, and since you're riding a bike that has
spoked wheels (a 2008 Nighthawk 250, right?) I recommend you install a
fresh innertube and
First, I recommend that you get rid of that top box and strap a piece of
Samsonite on your bike with bungees so that you can be cool. Then make sure
your headlight goes out once in a while (I actually finally installed a new
right handlebar assembly this week, so that's hopefully history).
