So what do you need? An extra CDI box to test it? Pretty sure I have one you
could try. If it works, pay me a reasonable amount for it. If not, send it
back.

He hole in the middle shouldn’t matter. The valve rotates to align with the
larger holes to allow gas to go nowhere, from main tank, and from reserve.
Last hole goes around a peg (or bump) to prevent it turning. The center hole
should not come into play.

Just saw a 1984 700S in a junk yard. It is mostly complete but in bad
shape. Sitting outside for years. I saw the same bike in the owners yard
about 5 years ago. Junk yard only wants $100 for it. Too much work in it
for me. Exhausts and mufflers are good. Engine was good 5 years ago.

Looks like I'll be finding out too as my order already shipped (with the
hole).only $13 so no big loss.
I will post pics of what I learn, including the disassembly and tap process.

Just found another "extra " of the CA edition. There's a vacuum hose,
connecting the "purge control valve" ( the round thing on the right side ,
first picture) to the fuel tank. There's a small tube underneath the tank ,
between the fuel sensor and the petcock, where the hose should be connected
Hey thanks Brian, I appreciate the offer to help. I still haven't had a
chance to look at the new motor. The guy is stuck in Bremerton on a job
till the end of this week.
He says it's an RC13 which is the same prefix as mine, so we shall see. I
figured I might want to pull the valve cover off j
Yes, that's a cause to. My washer however was brittle and allowing gas to
pass between the holes

I recently did the tap screw repair and found that the leaking is caused by an
o ring that fits in a groove around the on off reserve fuel selector.

$165 on ebay (too much). if I cannot get the new washer, I will
probably order from the impex web site that you provided (knowing that you
had success in ordering
Website says unavailable.
